Class of 2019
The start of the college softball season last weekend was also the start of many of our Class of 2019 grad’s college softball careers. It was very exciting to see these amazing young women competing at the collegiate level as it seems like it was just yesterday that they wearing a Firecracker uniform and getting ready for their future.
Julia Jimenez, Alyssa Garcia, Madi Jacobus, Jaelyn Operana, Sarah Ladd and Lexi Campbell all competed in their first college softball games last weekend. Two of our 2019 grads, Alexis Laudenslagger and Serena Starks, will start their season on Feb 21.
Madi, a freshman at Utah, had an excellent start to her college career, going 6-16 with her first HR and 6 RBI. Julia Jimenez got her first start and first hit for the Michigan Wolverines last weekend. Alyssa Garcia, began her career at UCLA in impressive fashion going 6-13 with 4 RBI. Jaelyn Operana had a busy start to her season, going 7-12 at the plate and also pitching 19 innings for Orange Coast College.
Congrats to all of our 2019 grads, we can’t wait to see what you do the rest of this season.
