Firecrackers Rico/Weil vs Czech National Team
On a cool, chilly night in Fountain Valley, our team got the unique opportunity to play the Czech National Team. The game was originally slated to be played on Wednesday evening but mother nature put a hold on that. Luckily we were greeted with a dry day which allowed the game to commence.
The evening started with a nice exchange of gifts between the two teams and then it was time to “Play Ball”. The game was a very good contest with the Firecrackers taking home an 8-0 win. Our players had a great time playing against a full national team and getting a flavor of “National” softball.
Tonight’s game provided a nice warm-up for this weekends slate of 6 games. The team will be in action tomorrow night at Big League Dreams West Covina, which is the start of The Don Battles On. They will play 3 more on Saturday followed by 2 games on Sunday.
